Red Dead Redemption 2 Review
This is a review of Red Dead Redemption 2 a game I already played and finished like 2 years ago. This was truly on of the best games I played when it comes to campaign.I dao't really care for graphics or movements all of that detailed stuff only the compaign and setting of the game. At the time I felt like I was too old for video games and that few would be fun now and there weren't any good comapign games left and that video games were a waste of time now and as said I was too old. The thing about single player story games is you get to play in what is like a movie. So its like your watching a movie but also playing on it so its a lot more fun and that's what Red Dead 2 did so well and what makes video games so good. The game was fun and was a dream game finally come true basically a gta 5 for the wild west that I always wanted as a kid. The game also thought so many good valuable life lessons and pushed on the idea of death. Eventually we will all die and the game gave the player (me) a choice what to do with the characters life Arthur morgan before dying but it also felt like I had to do something about my life before I die and made me think on that. Because just like the character I am also running out of time. The story had so many crazy twist that didn't even make sense but was still fun I liked the unity and focus on goals altough the characters were outlaws and were doing bad things. The game really motivated me in a way to be more rebellious as it kind of glorrfied the outlaw gang but at the same time in the end of the game you realize it doesn't matter. I think what the game did best was teach that in the end the only thing that matters and that were remembered for is our good actions and help toward others. I also like how the game addresses religion and god Arthur Morgan doesn't really believe in god or care and finds it hard to believe in it he feels like his actions don't matter and that he will die. In the end he choses to do good and help others he doesn't turn to a religion but instead turns to doing the right choice because he does believe in good. Eventually the game feels pretty real and feels like a character from a video game is a human being. The game also motivated me a lot more to seek adventure and to have "faith" Like it was repeated so much in the game lol. From Arthur Morgans life I got to see that "morality" matters and our actions matter in our own lives weather or not you think god is real and his story serves as a bit of an example for me to see how to live my life.It shows pride, greed, and loyalty can lead to downfall as arthur morgan said"be loyal to what matters" when he finally breaks his loyalty with the gang. The gang especially dutch also puts a lot of importance to freedom and he makes "their struggle" a struggle to preserve their freedom. The game does a good job on making "side" characters seem important and like people too unlike most video games and have some type of connection to them no matter how small their role is because they all have a life story that led em there.I reccomend red dead 2 its a good game and much better if you really think and look at it deeply and treat it less as a game and more like a good deep movie. For 30 dollars it was money well spent lol its another one of those game I will never forget and the best I played and hopefully more games like that will come out I was expecting cyberpunk 2077 to be the next good game but it never was.
