A day in the park

    Today was a day I went to the park I went there simple expecting not much to happen with my bike. But this was my second day in a row and going to the park is fun honestly more fun than you will expect. After the lockdown and cold long winter and pandemic finally it was good enough to go there to the same park I went too as a kid. If there is something I learned its that its best doing fun or interesting stuff outside than just being on social media all the time or waqtching movies.Those things are good and helpful and fun but if thats all you do which is something that is pretty common but I have tried to stay away from you will problably get depressed. It makes sense doing the same thing again and again sucks.Go out and do something different don't get used to doing the same thing all the time.

    Going outside can be dangerous but with danger comes also more freedom sadly its not that easy to just go outside but I am now getting used to it instead of spending all my time inside its worth it despite the risk.I normally felt riding a bike wasn't interesting because I have already done it. But I gotten older and the last times I ridden a bike was a few years ago. The freedom and fun you get from riding a bike after that long is the same as when you were a kid and its still the same feeling. I found that its much better than just sitting around watching shows on a sunny day. I tried doing some tricks but I sucked and off course tried driving it as fast as I could which was also cool.

     As the day past time was getting late and I felt I was going to have to go soon. But as I stood talking to another dude a car pulled up I heard shots and felt they were from far away which I am used too so I tried to act cooly.That was my inicial reaction but problably 0.5 seconds later I turn and see a gun and a car and see a flash and shots were being fired at the direction of gang members which were also at our direction in plain daylight. As Said my inicial reaction couldn't accept this was actually going on I was expecting it to be a dream or a prank. But then I saw other people running and taking cover and felt goosepumps. We were right in the line of fire only 15 feet from the targets and the gun looked pointed at me but it was 30 feet away in the street and felt like we might be mistaken for targets ourselves because were close to them. I take cover in a cement ramp that was in my back at the skate park and overall don't get so nervous and don't think its a big deal as no way a shot was going through that but still the vibes of how everything got so serious were a few seconds ago I was laughing and then now trying to live. Still the car continues and shoots even at the direction of the playground which was full of kids which was suprising and messed up how it happend in plain daylight. There is always that fear of something crazy like that happening but you always feel it just happens in movies and wouldn't happend in your life. Everybody was laid down on prone position and everyone started leaving after that.

     This was just my second time going out into the park and my moms worst fears happend which normally I dismiss as pure overexgarration.This comes to show that at any moment you can die and be in trouble especially when you least expect it.What's also funny is we were joking before that happend about gangs and a drive by lol. I always knew that park was dangerous and that such events have happend many times in the past in the park but as a kid you just joke about it now after such event imma problably not joke around as much but even after the shooting I still joked mainly at the fact I was okay. Nobody got hurt at all which was great but after events like that it makes many people more worrisome and more serious and it changes people,kids. I will problably go back to the same park or keep going outside I won't let fear and danger control me but my mom problably will refuse. I told the dude a few seconds after the shooting who lived an hour away "welcome to the hood"
